JULY UPDATE

Hi again, everyone! I hope you're all having a wonderful summer and finding some time to relax, get away, and/or reconnect with loved ones you may have been missing in the last year.

There's not much new information to report this month. Between our own vacations, work obligations, and the required administrative duties to get the org up and running, we haven't had much time for the "fun stuff," I know many of you are eager to get involved in! (That will soon change, I promise.)

And speaking of YOU, we continue to be so encouraged with how many of you have reached out, expressed interest, and offered your time/expertise to the Main Street cause! THANK YOU, for showing so much support and excitement during these initial stages. We're going to do amazing things together.

You may recall from the last update that our Board will be attending Main Street Board Training with Missouri Main Street Connection on August 10th. After that training, our Committee Chairs will begin reaching out to those of you have have expressed interest in getting involved and we'll get to work brainstorming, creating action plans, building community trust and engagement, and so much more.

And if you'd REALLY like to dig deep, consider taking the Main Street 101 interactive learning module (pictured below), provided by Missouri Main Street Connection! In the module you'll learn more about what our community can expect from Missouri Main Street Connection (the state org), and the results we can all expect to see as our local org, Main Street Saint Joseph, applies the Main Street 4 Point Approach.



If you'd like to be contacted in August when our committees begin planning and meeting, please email me directly, or click the link below to fill out the volunteer & interest form. The initial meetings for each committee will likely revolve around hearing YOUR ideas on how we can work together to meet our community goals or "WIGs," (established by  community during our Town Hall on May 27th) and how you might see yourself being involved in the success of Main Street Saint Joseph.

On behalf of our board, I want to thank you for sticking with us this summer, and I invite you to reach out to myself or another board member if you'd like to learn more about a particular committee, or if we can answer any other questions you may have.
