Quarterly Update + Roadmap

Greetings, friends and neighbors!

For our spring Quarterly Update we have an exciting document to share with you all. But before we do, here's a quick contextual recap.

Since its founding 2 years ago, Main Street Saint Joseph has looked to the community for guidance and inspiration, and compiled your input to lay the ground work for what we believe is a path for measurable & sustainable growth for Downtown.

Our two Task Forces--Business & Residential Growth and Cultural Identity-- began regular meetings in February. Their goal is to determine how to achieve the measurable outcomes that you, our community members, identified as top priorities

In attempt to organize our next steps, we wanted to summarize and contextualize the work we've all done together in the last two years, and demonstrate how it contributes to our path forward in the next two years.

With that, our board would like to share the Main Street Saint Joseph 2-Year Downtown Roadmap, a framework for establishing revitalization programs for Downtown St. Joseph, and a strategic pathway for their long-term sustainability and growth.

It is our hope and expectation that those of you who contributed your time, input, and energy to brainstorming Downtown priorities these last two years, will see your input reflected in this comprehensive document.

WHAT COMES NEXT?

While the full 28-page document provides complete context, page 14 of the Roadmap, succinctly addresses our next steps as an organization.

The timeline for meeting some of the goals in the document will depend on how much support we can gather for them, and how long it takes to achieve that support.

Our hope is that in circulating our detailed work so far, alongside our future plans, more and more community members will see the value and longevity in the Main Street model, and come together to make rapid strides for Downtown development in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Thank you all for your continued dedication to Downtown St. Joseph! We're doing amazing things together.

Dana (Massin) Ekstrum
President, Main Street Saint Joseph
