Project Brainstorm: Summer Town Hall - July 14th

April... May... Where did the Spring months go?

Wherever the time went, I'm happy to announce we've been planning a fantastic set of next steps for the Summer, and a plan to select Main Street Saint Joseph's first official revitalization projects for Downtown!

Q: UM... WHY IS THIS MAIN STREET STUFF TAKING SO LONG?

A: The national "Main Street Model," our board members have been learning and building our local organization around this past year is very clear about how decisions should be made (with community input!) and how to best interpret your input and use it to create an action-oriented, strategic plan that has full community support. Could we have simply looked around, identified things to be done, and just started doing them? Of course we could have! There is no shortage of projects that Downtown St. Joseph can benefit from... we all see them every day, and many of us are very eager to get to work!

But what we've been building this last year is the local model for ongoing downtown strategic planning that will hopefully grow and last for years to come. We thank you for your continued patience as we learn this model, gather your feedback, and learn how to to apply it in our community.

Q: SO... WHAT'S NEXT?

A: We are asking for your input once again!

TOWN HALL + PROJECT BRAINSTORM: Thursday, July 14th 6:30-8pm, Mokaska

The Main Street Saint Joseph Board of Directors invites you to a community Town Hall in Downtown St. Joseph to brainstorm downtown community revitalization projects for the 2023 calendar year.

The nationally-proven Main Street model for revitalization of historic districts, is focused on bringing communities together to cultivate a shared vision, set goals and meet them together.

In order to choose our projects for the 2023 calendar year, we are seeking input from downtown business owners, local leaders, and community members at large who spend their time and money in Downtown St. Joseph.

PLEASE RSVP HERE

Can't attend this event? Complete the RSVP and select "I would like to be part of the brainstorm, but am unable to attend on July 14th," and we'll follow up with you to get your input!
